Been Feeling a Bit more generous lately

I don’t know why, even when I’m broke more, I feel compelled to give funds towards others with bitcoin because:

a)  I really Like the cool stuff we’re all making (as a community)

b) I actually feel connected to the developer, artist, comedian, or writer by giving them funds through bitcoin. When using a competing system like paypal or even gift card systems, it seems like i’m crippling the recipient for which I am trying to reward, like if I donate money that fees are taken from them or they are required to spend extra funds just to redeem the full value of the said gift card.

c)Especially if I know it could help someone in time of need.  Seems waay easier to send someone a cold soda or warm coffee across the globe with bitcoin vs something like fastpass – in the grander scheme of things, money could be saved as well through using apps such as foldapp.  Using coffee.foldapp.com will net you a savings of 20% on starbucks or $2.60 cents on a bag of starbucks coffee per month.

Keep in mind, I also seem to receive tips from time to time from generous members of the bitcoin community who deem my information and/or advice useful – eerily as though cosmic karma does exist.  So the next time you see something funny that you’ve read in a comment on Disqus or Youtube, when you see something funny or interesting on bitcointalk or IRC, you can brighten someones day for them brightening yours 🙂

Cheers Everyone!
