Captcha Input Security is Misleading only one input is necessary to pass

I have been noticing lately that the latest string of captchas incorporate an image for the 1st input or second input, included with a wavy string of numbers. I noticed accidentally one day that the Captchas with house numbers or postal mail box numbers as pic and the wave of numbers didn’t work as expected. I was able to ignore the flat words and enter in the wavy words alone but PASS the captchas still.  They are sort of a false sense of security and it makes me wonder:

A) two different inputs can be accepted for Captchas

B) we presume its safer because two sets are there but the attack vector is still using digital rendered numbers in a wavy pattern (could be reverse sorted programmatic-ally at some point if not now)

C) what if we are assisting in the wrong purpose with the extra data = Govt pays for entries on pics and they are mixed in but they are optional and we as consumers and refuse to answer them.  Its owned by a Google page with makes me definitely believe it could cover for gov’t surveillance.  Imagine that american’s are similar to micro agents for the government – on a small level its almost more than likely.

Check for yourself sometime folks: http://www.google.com/recaptcha/learnmore

Just ignore the words that are easy to read and the image based numbers too when asked to give verification.
