Ulterior States Review

I haven’t tried this before so I felt like “Why not, lets give it a shot!”  This is my first movie critic review.  Today, we will be discussing the Film By Tomer Kantor, titled “I Am Satoshi”.  Found through the submissions via /r/bitcoin, I Am Satoshi is a documentary based among a set of select interviews of various Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Developers.  The format gives homage to the Anonymous nature of Satoshi Nakamoto – the individual or collaborative group that created and shared Bitcoin with everyone back in 2009.

Out the gate I am curious as to why BTC is the answer to the = ‘disparity of justice’?  I understand why protesting occurs:  Protesting is an outlet of free collective assembly to expresses dissidence with the existing rules and legal structures in society and allows for the individuals which form the 99% to voice their concerns.  I get that voting with our money is the solution in terms of aggregate level macroeconomics – but that only applies to the 1% who are NOT out there protesting – because they are currently satisfied with how the system operates (it after all allowed them to ascribe to become 1%ers themselves)

Also noticed a sense of anger towards banking structures – interesting… one person quickly noted that we as a society need different systems that are anti-fragile.  I’ve heard that term before a few years ago in a bitcoin conversation at a meetup, but now it’s back on my radar.  Anti-Fragile is interesting because we, as citizens of developed and developing nations come to trust that our national currency is just that – anti-fragile.  I mean it has full faith and credit of the country that mints it, beyond being just a rag to burn when necessary, it can used to pay our taxes, how is that not anti-fragile?

Freedom loving people to thrive and grow, I can agree to that.  It showed the security video footage of Aaron swartz posting his router to allow libranet to proliferate, I remember that happening!  I’ll admit, a lot of it I don’t understand because its from global context and that is due to my own lack of my own breadth of global events occurring.  TIL of Phil Zimmerman…I’ll spend  time to learn about him a bit more now.  Hmm I wish I knew the names to quote them back to you, but the entire picture together is very thought provoking.  Recalling something said there if my own words:  “The ability to write and distribute software and the action of doing it openly and freely could be seen as an evolution of human communication.  One in which we have the ability to openly transcend and create our own versions of law and consensus that are chosen to be followed and voluntarily are enforced.  They jive within the laws of human nature and availability through convenience, but the converse is that they fail to compensate the existing 1% systems placed here currently, specifically I am referring to the likes of the movie or music industry or even the software industry.  We, aggregately speaking, choose to participate in these systems, because they are more convenient.  Also, existing business models allow the 1% to proliferate.  Through the knowledge of software development and/or even through participative efforts, individuals, aka the 99% now have an ability to voice their own opinions and even propose their own versions of law whether it be through popcorntime, whether it be through Darknetmarkets, we as humans have the ability to seek the paths of least resistance towards the resources of the world through the internet – and the barrier to entry is the lowest it has ever been in human civilization.

What is more valuable than money = transparency and integrity.  I can agree with that tone for sure.  Yea, cutting off money or opposing views is pretty atrocious, it’s akin to cutting off supply routes, that is something that states would do over, say the mafia.  That was a great video and I recommend everyone give it a good watch-through!  Do you agree or disagree with me?  Let’s discuss further in the comments below!
